In China, the word “coin” symbolises “good fortune.” When the company built its first bias ply tire in 1934, Double Coin set out to give customers quality products that they would feel fortunate to own.
The name Double Coin is a promise to be a partner in each customer’s success. Since selling its first TBR tyres in the United States in 1992, its mission as a company has been to deliver more value to the customer than they expected. This means offering customers more than a comprehensive line of high-quality TBR and OTR tyres at competitive prices. It means delivering the highest level of service and support possible in order to provide a better business experience for the customer.
. Since the beginning, Double Coin has been an unrivalled leader among Chinese tyre manufacturers. From manufacturing the first radial truck tyre in China to building the first EPA SmartWay®-verified tyre, Double Coin has led other Chinese manufacturers in the use of advanced technology to build better tyres. In 1989, Double Coin partnered with Firestone Tire to purchase tubeless tire and casing technology that improves tire durability and performance.
In 2001 and 2011, Double Coin entered into joint ventures with Michelin. Double Coin has also participated in shared technology ventures with other major corporations, including Beakart for steel cord technology, Chevron for carbon black/synthetic rubber technology, and Huayi Group for petrochemical technology. These technology investments have been integrated into the manufacture of our high-quality TBR and OTR tyre products.
