I have been using this particular tire for several years and I don't change it, the first time I mounted it I didn't trust it much, but after several sets... I have been using it for 170,000 km and I think it has a great quality/price ratio.

Currently fitted to my wife's car and I can't fault them. We don't drive like maniacs so noise, comfort, stability, smoothness, and longevity our the priority, and these tyres tick all those boxes. They're a Continental brand, made at their Mabor plant in Portugal according to the sidewall.

- Road - Economical - 5000 km

I've only recently got these tyres (235/45R17) on my S80 but I've covered 237k in it on many other brands so feel I have a good frame of reference. I've previously ran Uniroyal Rainsport3 (4 sets), Falken ZE914 (2 sets) and Accelera (1 set, horrific and proof not to skimp on tyres albeit good wear). The Altimax Sport are very sure footed, not quite as well planted as the Rainsport3 in the wet or the Falkens in the dry but progressive and appear to have a much stronger side-wall so the steering seems sharper (very noticeable on the heavy S80). They are the quietest tyre I've had so far and but not quite as economic as the Rainsport3s (~2mpg down). It's too early to tell regarding wear but they are way better than the Rainsport3s and look on par with the Accelera (but actually grip in the wet). I tried them over another set of Uniroyal's as Tyreleader had them at £54 a corner which is incredible value. So far I'd definitely recommend them, especially given the price.

Tires mounted on my two vehicles. Very good quality/price ratio. Good grip on both dry and wet ground. Quite quiet.
