Shorter braking distances on snow

Goodyear's 3D-BIS® technology is designed to improve stopping distances regardless of road conditions. With the rubber blocks interlocking, braking distances on snow are reduced by one meter compared to the average distance displayed by competing tires, and this tire gains up to 3% on the average performance of the 2 market leaders in the same winter tire segment (braking distances on snow are calculated by going from 50 to 5km/h).

More grip in winter

Excellent grip regardless of the conditions during winter. The special winter compound characterizing the tread rubber provides superior grip below the 7 °C mark. This mix has the dual benefit of extending the tire's lifespan.

Excellent resistance to aquaplaning

The UltraGrip 8 model reduces the chances of aquaplaning in rainy or melting snow conditions, ensuring vehicle control thanks to its double V-notch, the first expelling water and the second gripping the snow. The UltraGrip 8 tire shows on winding roads a resistance to aquaplaning 16% better than its competitors.

Improved road handling

Goodyear's 3D BIS® technology enhances road holding regardless of driving conditions during the winter season. It allows the tire to tackle dry grounds as well as all slippery surfaces in rainy, icy, snowy or slushy weather, thanks to optimized control by an improved ground footprint. The UltraGrip 8 tire features innovative V-shaped patterns and exhibits exemplary road holding behavior even after wear.
