The Ventus Evo Z is Hankook’s UHP (Ultra High Performance) summer tyre, designed for drivers who demand precise handling both on open roads and during a track day. Asymmetric tread pattern, compound derived from competition tyres and hybrid aramid belt: everything is designed to transfer engine power to the ground and keep the vehicle on course at high speed.
The asymmetric tread pattern transfers power to the ground even at high speed, for responsive steering, maintained cornering stability and linear grip during both acceleration and braking. The tyre remains predictable even when driving becomes more committed.
Hankook has optimised the angle of the outer groove walls to 30° to stiffen the blocks where loads are highest when cornering. The transverse grooves, deliberately not connected to the main grooves, increase the contact area, while rubber bridges at the start of the grooves limit micro-movements of the blocks. The result: less deformation, more precision on corner entry and exit.
The hybrid aramid belt stabilises the tread at very high speed, even under high power and heavy loads: the contact area remains maximised and driving remains predictable.
The Ventus evo Z is the first Hankook tyre to combine liquid resin and solid resin with a high softening point, a technology transferred directly from racing tyres. The rubber grips from the first metres and retains its grip when the temperature rises on the circuit.
The Ventus evo Z is positioned as a super-sport tyre designed to maintain consistent performance at high speed. It promotes excellent road holding as well as great cornering precision, allowing dynamic and controlled driving.
Its innovative compound immediately improves grip, including on wet roads. This design helps reduce braking distances, while ensuring excellent cornering stability and safe driving, particularly thanks to better resistance to aquaplaning.
