The industrial production of retreaded tyres has seen considerable expansion in recent decades. Thanks to high-tech machinery, it is now possible to control the necessary processes with far greater precision than in the past. Special computer-controlled devices detect differences down to a tenth of a millimetre, while others help identify defects in the carcass structure. In addition to all this technology, human expertise remains a key aspect of the production chain, involving processes such as manual and visual inspections.
