I had extra spikes put in at Schubert in Kempten. Perfect spike tire for icy roads. Unfortunately, not allowed in Germany.
I tested it from the first kilometers at night on icy road, it was critical because they were not even broken in! But I couldn't even imagine being able to drive on such a road with summer tires! Perfect on snowy road , of course, on dry road it's not ideal, but I made a strong emergency braking 400 km later on wet road, they reacted very well, fortunately I had them, otherwise I would have gone straight on! So even unbroke but still effective in difficult conditions
