The Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 245/45 R18 100V XL (*) FSL MO MOE ZP Run Flat 3PMSF is a performance winter tyre featuring a tread with heavy siping. The rubber-studs enhance the road grip. Commanding stabilty and traction. Enhanced grip thanks to the silica compound.

Helio Compound 3G

Helio Compound, 3rd generation rubber compound. By reformulating this rubber mix composed of rubber, silica and sunflower oil, we obtain improved grip at low temperatures.

StabiliGrip

The deep 3D sipes feature various angles which result in:

a greater number of edges resulting in improved traction,
breaking the water film to dry the road,
even more rigid rubber blocks.

The reward is grip and precision in steering.

For these first kilometers, I can specify that the tire is very soft (for a runflat), there is no excessive consumption for an Alpin tire, and it is not very noisy. We'll see about longevity over time. For now, everything is positive, I don't regret my choice.
