The Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyre has a good reputation and offers excellent performance in all conditions. This tyre incorporates the latest Bridgestone technology called "NanoPro-tech" to improve grip in the rain.
The NanoPro-tech™ compound is rich in silica, the distribution of which is enhanced by the new blending technology. The perfect alliance between the structure and this compound allows for maximum adherence to the contact area in order to increase grip on wet ground.
The improvement of the tire carcass through an original reinforcement of rigid steel and polyester grants it high maneuverability as well as good rolling resistance. As a result, there is a reduction in CO2 emissions as well as in the vehicle's consumption.
The high percentage of shoulder blocks contributes to better water expulsion. The advanced distribution of void in the central area of the structure ensures efficient drainage. A significant improvement in resistance to deformations is achieved through inter-block shoulder connections for linear shoulder contact during braking.

Excellent tyres! I can take corners 15 km/h faster on mountain passes than with my old Continentals! Also very, very good in the wet: I still haven’t really managed to exceed their lateral grip, but their limits are a long way off. At the limit, they “growl” but don’t slide to warn you before letting go: be careful! And last but not least: a Japanese brand (I boycott the American brand, Goodyear, because it’s American..). Michelin: too expensive, mileage equivalent to Continental (I’ll have to see about these Bridgestones), and poorer dry and wet road holding than Continental. What’s more, Michelin hardly makes any consumer models in France any more, so even that selling point has disappeared... My first Bridgestones: a very, very pleasant surprise!!
