Description

The Firestone Winterhawk 4 is a winter tyre (3PMSF) designed to deliver behaviour suited to the various conditions encountered during the winter season. Intended for both small city cars and SUVs, it focuses on control, handling and traction on roads and motorways.

Its design promotes traction on snow-covered roads, with improved performance compared with the Winterhawk 3 in internal tests. It also benefits from a shorter braking distance than its predecessor, according to a test conducted by TÜV SÜD.

Robust and versatile, the Firestone Winterhawk 4 is aimed at motorists looking for balanced winter performance, particularly on snow and wet roads.

They need a certain running-in period before reaching their full potential. On a front-wheel-drive car, they may occasionally lack grip when setting off. Wet-road performance is decent, without being exceptional. On snow, they seemed a little twitchy and lacking in stability. On the other hand, they are very quiet on the motorway and offer good performance on long journeys.
