Good grip on Finnish winter roads. A major improvement over the old, hardened Continental friction tyres, even though they still had about 5–6 mm of tread left. From 30 years of driving on friction tyres in winter conditions, I know that the grip of Goodyears does not deteriorate through hardening as it does with the friction tyres of the other three premium brands I have tested over the years. The noise level was a pleasant surprise: quieter than Pirelli summer tyres, whose stated noise level should have been 3 dB lower...
