Criticism of the questionnaire: mileage: car overall (260k km), my total driving experience (~1.5 million km) or with THESE tyres (500 km)? Fuel consumption: I haven’t emptied the tank yet... Service life... at least 3 weeks. But if you’re going to praise something, do it properly! I can’t report anything yet on fuel consumption and service life. Ask me after the next winter season! But in terms of handling, the “Snowgripper 1” is a surprisingly good tyre. Even my tyre fitter said, “They’ve got something... that’s a really nice bit of kit!” Handling: at low temperatures (-10 to +10°C) on dry, damp and properly wet roads, absolutely grippy and true-tracking. On the few snowy days, the surprisingly fine tread pattern ploughs through about 30 centimetres of fresh snow without any trouble, while the underbody is already leaving a trail...! Yes! We’ve had all that in the south-west of Germany over the last 3 weeks! On “clean roads” the tyre runs lightly, elegantly and with a barely perceptible, pleasantly melodic “singing”. I know much louder (high-priced) branded summer tyres! I’m absolutely amazed by the combination of comfort and driving stability. If nothing else comes up in 2–3 years, I’ll put these on again. Definitely!
Excellent tyres! Great value for money. We’ve had a major winter cold snap with slush, compact icy snow and fresh snow. The tyre tracks brilliantly! My wife has to drive up a steep hill to get to work. The tyre delivers on what it promises! Even on wet roads, there’s no aquaplaning! Happy to buy again!
