The MICHELIN CrossClimate 2 tyre is an all-season tyre designed to ensure safety and mobility at any time of year, on dry, wet or snowy roads. It is aimed at drivers who want a single high-performance tyre all year round without changing tyres according to the seasons. This model is 3PMSF certified and complies with European regulations for driving in winter conditions.
This tyre is characterised by the use of a Thermal Adaptive rubber compound that adapts to temperature variations, providing consistent grip in different weather conditions. The step sipes improve traction on snow, while the V-shaped tread blocks ensure optimal contact with the road surface for better braking on dry roads.
The MICHELIN CrossClimate 2 is also designed to last: it offers significant longevity while maintaining high safety performance from the first to the last kilometre.
The CrossClimate 2 all-season tyre is designed to offer a high level of safety in a wide range of weather conditions, while ensuring long service life. Its safety performance is maintained over time, including on dry, wet or snowy roads, compared with its predecessor, the CrossClimate+.
Its directional tread pattern with V-shaped grooves promotes efficient water evacuation, contributing to improved grip on wet surfaces. MaxTouch technology enables an even distribution of forces at the road contact patch, helping to extend tread life without compromising safety performance.
Ce tyre is designed to help improve energy efficiency. It reduces fuel consumption thanks to rolling resistance reduced by 10% compared with the CrossClimate+.
This performance is made possible by the Cool Running sidewall, developed to limit the energy absorbed when the tyre flexes, thereby promoting the energy efficiency of internal combustion vehicles and the range of electric vehicles. The LEV sipe improves the mobility of the rubber blocks, which helps reduce energy losses while driving.
The Michelin CrossClimate 2 all-season tyre simplifies vehicle equipment by offering suitable performance all year round. 3PMSF certified, it delivers improved performance on snow as well as braking on dry and wet roads compared with the Michelin CrossClimate+.
Its Thermal Adaptive rubber compound is designed to adapt to variations in road temperature, helping to provide consistent grip whatever the weather conditions. The step sipes promote traction on snowy roads, while the directional V-shaped tread pattern optimises the contact patch with the road to improve braking on dry roads.

I already had the first version, I didn’t want to change and I’m happy. I tried them straight away in the mountains on the snow, which this year isn’t holding back, and they’re fantastic. Whether it’s hard and already compacted, or freshly fallen, the grip is truly exceptional. Starting from a standstill uphill on snow, because perhaps the car in front was having problems, caused no issues at all, and it has nothing to do with all-wheel drive because it didn’t activate.
Great tyre, it grips the road well, I recommend it.
My review is based on my experience using a set of Michelin CrossClimate 2 tyres on my previous vehicle of the same type. - Long mileage - Handling does not deteriorate even towards the end of the tyre’s life - Good value for money due to the long mileage and near full all-season capability - Strong, robust construction, resistant to potholes and punctures - Excellent handling on dry roads - Good handling on snowy roads - Slightly weaker handling on wet roads - “Strange” but tolerable road noise Number of kilometres driven: approx. 20,000 km/year Road type: mixed city, country roads and motorway Driving style: brisk, adapting to the flow of traffic where possible With an average driving style and Central European weather conditions, in my opinion it is one of the best choices. Since it performed very well on my previous vehicle, choosing it for my new car was a no-brainer.
I haven’t fitted the tyres yet; I think I’ll do it in spring.
Time will tell with long-term use.
I don’t have enough experience with these tyres to rate them. They’ve only just been fitted.
Very quiet steering, very smooth, very good grip in the rain. I recommend these tyres.
Everything works very well.
Sorry, because there are too many personal questions and I’ve only had the tyres for a short time, so not long enough to assess them. Kind regards
Very good tyre that lasts over time.
