In fresh snow very good road holding, also on very wet and slightly icy road. On dry road very good grip. To have throughout the winter season for longevity.
Great tires, quiet, exceptional grip.
I had hesitated to choose this tyre model because of the high price, but I wanted to try the new Cryo Crystal technology, in which Nokian has incorporated crystals into the compound to achieve grip close to that of studded tyres without the drawbacks of studs. I’m extremely satisfied: it grips in all winter conditions except black ice (freezing fog), but nothing held the road that day. On snow it grips and clears itself very well too. I covered the last 4 km of my route with almost 30 cm of snow on the road, which had not yet been cleared, and it was a delight (with four-wheel drive as well). I recommend this tyre only to people who drive in the mountains or high mountains every day and don’t want any hassle; if you only drive in the mountains occasionally, take a winter tyre, not a Nordic one. ❄️❄️
Stable tire in size 225/60R17 on the road. Louder than a summer tire and the previous winter tire (Conti) due to a slight howling that stands out from the background noise.
