After a bad experience with Nankang NS-2R tyres (unbearable road noise but excellent grip), I have gone back to the Yokohama A539. This is my third set and they are really excellent. I have covered more than 30,000 kilometres and have never been disappointed with their performance. To be checked on larger sizes and heavier vehicles (175/60/13 and 850 kg)
Soft, good road holding.
First trip: around 900 km in all weather conditions (rain, sunshine, cold and heat), nothing to complain about; handling and road holding are very good.

Tyres bought about a month ago for a classic car, so I haven’t done many kilometres. From what little I’ve been able to try, I can say I’m finding them very good in the dry (never tried them in the wet). Website recommended for availability and prices.
I haven’t driven that much on them yet; I’m testing how long they’ll last. They can take a lot; in the wet they slide a bit, but that doesn’t bother me. We’ll see how they behave on the track, but on the road they grip brilliantly!

I can’t confirm that the tyres are great on the road, but I can confirm that they look great and, as for the other comments, I hope the ride will be great in the spring when the car is ready.

A benchmark for grip; the only drawback: slightly noisy and a stiff sidewall (great for sport, but less so for comfort/smoothness).
