Description

This Pirelli motorcycle tyre Scorpion Rally STR 120/70 R18 59V M+S Front adapts to road and endure trails, for ON and OFF road rides. Technological innovations provide traction, high-speed stability, road handling and grip in all driving conditions. A new compound, with a high silica content, provides increased adhesion to dry and wet surfaces, stability and superior abrasion resistance for durability. Increasing the width and length of the tyre’s contour creates a wider contact patch for better stability. The blocks are longer and wider and the longitudinal distance between each row of studs has been reduced to increase the contact patch, without compromising off-road traction.

Trail-road profiles and structures

Offering excellent road handling, it ensures an improved contact area at all tilt angles.

Composed with high silica content

Offering a wide range of operational temperatures, it ensures tear resistance for increased longevity and excellent grip regardless of the conditions.

Innovative stud geometry

Combining on and off-road needs, it ensures increased stability and perfect traction off-road.

An excellent tyre that I’ve been using for a few years now, on two different motorbikes. Very good grip on wet surfaces. I’ve never managed to catch it out on dry roads. Very good longevity (20,000 km on the front, 12–13,000 km on the rear). A bit noisy, but it’s a (slightly) knobbed tyre. It’s perfectly bearable.

After 3,000 km with a Scorpion on the rear showing no signs of wear, and the front tyre worn out (another one, a Pirelli MT), I’m really pleased. Very good grip on wet roads and in mud; I have 2 km of dirt track before the tarmac on the way home. A very good compromise for mixed-use tyres.

Like new after 3,000 km; excellent grip in rain and snow… On tracks and in mud, very decent. I’m fitting it on the front to replace an MT 60 that’s already worn… I recommend it.

I’m really happy with the Pirelli Rally STRs: excellent road holding in both wet and dry conditions, and good off-road performance in normal conditions. They’re not designed for mud. There’s no particular noise with these tyres, quite the opposite of the Metzeler Karoo 4, which are tyres for wet off-road conditions and which whistle quite loudly on the road. I’ve just fitted Pirelli Rally STRs again for the start of the season.
