The only way to know whether the order is correct is when the mechanic receives the parts and fits them to the vehicle. Problem: by then it’s too late; the goods can’t be returned because they’ve been fitted by the garage. Despite this process issue, it’s impossible to get a refund or even a discount on the second order. The call centre remains inflexible about the procedure, even though they understand the problem. Result: I’ve got four wheels on my hands. Conclusion: if you’re not familiar with the very complicated wheel/tyre specifications, it’s cheaper to go through the dealer because it avoids duplicate orders and repeated trips to the garage. This site is certainly handy for professionals or if you know the exact reference for the tyres, but for everyone else and novices, go straight to the tyre specialists who handle everything.
