The optimised sequence of tread blocks helps to limit noise emissions. The steep outer grooves, oriented circumferentially, reduce resonance phenomena, while the lateral grooves closed on the inside and outside of the shoulder contribute to quieter rolling.

The latest evolution of Shark Skin technology is based on wide circumferential grooves combined with refined outer shoulder grooves. Aqua-Twist sipes complete this design by improving water evacuation, thereby contributing to high grip and enhanced control on wet roads.
