Met expectations

I chose this tyre because I had previously ridden on the T31 and T32. So trying the T33 was a no-brainer. I broke it in with an outside temperature of 23 degrees. By the time I got home, after a 70 km ride, I had already worn the tyre almost as flat as the T31 before it. I managed a little under 300 km of running-in before taking it onto the circuit, where the tyres were already up to a good temperature within 1 to 2 laps at Circuit Meppen. It also gave me a lot of confidence on the circuit. It is a predictable tyre, and you do not actually get onto the edge of it very quickly. I could not even manage that, because the footpeg was already scraping on the ground. In worse weather, this is also a very nice tyre: it still warms up well, has plenty of grip, and it handles braking and leaning very well. This is essentially an improvement on the T32, exactly as Bridgestone’s marketing claimed. But with the attitude of “I’ll believe it when I see it”, I can now say: they were not lying. I am still curious about how many miles it will last, though. I got a little under 16,000 km out of the T32. Time will tell.

A firm tyre, it feels like being on rails; on dry roads, it has good grip and gives a sense of safety in corners. Time will tell regarding wear.
