The Metzeler Roadtec 01 is one of the most high-performance products in the “Sports Touring” line. Its performance on uneven and wet pavement is excellent. It features improved wear resistance and performs well in all weather conditions.
Offering improved interaction with the ABS, it effectively grips the asphalt and drains water optimally.
Based on a single compound with a carbon black and silica content close to 30%, it can be heated quickly and ensures excellent grip on dry ground.
Its special resins improve the fluidity of the compound and its adhesion properties, resulting in unmatched grip on wet ground.
Efficiently draining water at all angles of inclination, it improves stability in turns for precision handling.
Compared to the Roadtec Z8 Interact, the contact area is shorter but wider.
Reduces the slippage of the composite material to improve wear and reduce stress and overheating of the composite material.
Includes a greater number of grooves to improve mechanical grip and better drainage.
More rubber is in contact with the ground to achieve more grip in dry and wet environments.
Dual compound, the distribution range is 40% -20% -40%.
A balanced central strip of silica and carbon black can achieve stability and high-speed thermal dispersion.
The 100% silica side strip similar to the front offers excellent grip on wet surfaces and low friction. The side structure is similar to that of the front.
The Cap&Base pattern design can provide good heat distribution and good thermal stability of the shoulder during severe turns.
Composed of 100% silicon dioxide, it allows excellent mechanical adhesion and also ensures perfect chemical grip thanks to the arrangement of the grooves. Its homogeneous compound improves chemical performance and makes the tires more resistant to wear.
Improving traction and efficiently draining water, its wear is reduced and its longevity increased.
Speeding up the compound's heating time, this tire improves stability and motorcycle control during braking and increases traction on surfaces with a low friction coefficient.

I recommend this range; I also have it on a 2002 Fazer 600.
Good tyre, great price; unfortunately, an older unit was delivered. This is not what I am usually used to from Reifenleader.
Excellent tyre for everyday use.
I ride like a maniac. Rear tyre: Metzeler Roadtec 01 - 160/70 ZR17 73W Rear: - Very stable on the motorway, almost no vibrations (the most stable tyre I’ve ever had compared to the others). Easy to ride on twisty roads. - Wear is slightly faster than the Road 6. - Grip is almost like the Road 6, like glue. - Very heavy tyre, and I like it. - At 13,000 km, the tread is almost worn down; I’d like the middle area to be made of harder rubber. I’m wasting the tyre on the motorway. - Had one puncture, fixed it within 5 minutes. Overall: Great tyre, sporty, not as long-lasting.
Overall, the delivery was good. I just found it a shame that the delay is being blamed on the delivery manufacturer... It may be that this was the case here, but why didn’t the tyres arrive late together then? Otherwise, why not use UPS instead? It might cost €2 more, but it would probably work better! The goods were 100% “OK”. I would order again immediately and perhaps then cautiously factor in the delay ;-.) Kind regards, Josef
A really very good tyre! I will buy it again 100 per cent!
These Metzeler Roadtec 01 tyres have a good reputation, and it is well deserved. You can clearly feel better grip than with the original tyres. This adds to comfort and enjoyment, but also to safety and, as a result, confidence. Furthermore, Centrale Pneus processed the order overnight and the choice of UPS for delivery was excellent as well. Another plus: one of the tyres (the rear one, I believe) was hard to find online (often out of stock). Yet again, Centrale Pneus demonstrated their efficiency by sourcing some! Of course, it is worth remembering that, for safety reasons, it is advisable to have the same brand and model of tyre on both the front and rear of your motorbike. The experience was therefore very positive. I received two separate deliveries, but both arrived very promptly.
My Guzzi V7 was originally fitted with a different tyre (Pirelli Demon) which, in my case, had completely hardened (around eight years old); I bought the bike second-hand. 5,000 kilometres ago I switched to the Roadtec. The difference is like night and day, so I’ve chosen it again. Lovely cornering grip, stable in a straight line. Quick delivery from Reifenleader, sensible communication.
Competitive prices and perfect delivery!
Cannot say anything yet as I have not driven any kilometres.
