I converted the spoked wheels to tubeless and, instead of the original Metzeler M5, have now fitted the M9 RR. Significantly better damping (I thought the fork was a bit harsh, but it was actually the tyres with tubes) and the sensitivity to longitudinal grooves has now gone as well. It definitely inspires noticeably more confidence right from the start than the previous set. I can’t say much about warm-up time etc.; at an ambient temperature of just 12°C it naturally takes a while. Good tyres are crucial, especially in critical situations, so for me safety comes before wear. I easily get through a season with 5,000 km, mostly country roads, a bit of motorway (commuting in rush hour), so the price-performance ratio works for me. I like to ride briskly, and having a safety reserve never hurts.

I know the tyres are good; I only buy and ride Metzeler on my motorcycles. I’d like to praise the fast delivery and the DOT (tyre manufacturing date), less than two months old! I definitely recommend it!
