Motorcycle tyre break-in and wear

Break-in

Brand new tyres are covered with a highly slippery lubricant called mould-release wax. It is strongly advised to drive gently without hard acceleration and to refrain from driving at high speeds.

Drive gently for a few kilometres to break in the tyre before you can make the most of the full performance of your new tyres.

Motorcycle tyre wear

Your new motorclycle tyres feature a wear indicator. Don't wait until the tyres are too worn out because it leads to heightened aquaplaning risks and poorer grip.

Even though they might only be slightly worn out , tyres that have served for several seasons and show some signs of aging should be changed because they deliver less performance.
