I confess I was worried these tyres might turn out badly, coming from premium brands. I had never fitted budget tyres, but since the car is now old I didn’t want to spend a large amount. I have to say, though, that I’m finding them excellent value for money: great grip in the wet but also in the dry; slightly noisy, but as for wear I haven’t noticed any significant difference. Nice tread pattern and recently manufactured tyres. They’re also robust on the sidewalls, so if you accidentally hit the kerb or something else, they hold up well. I have to say that for normal use, in complete safety, they’re more than fine. You spend half as much and they’re still all-season tyres. There were even cheaper models, but the stated performance was not very reassuring. That “A” rating in the wet on a budget tyre seemed suspicious to me, but I have to say the performance is fully confirmed. I’ll keep them in mind for a future purchase too.
Very good grip on wet roads, both in a straight line and in corners. I used to have Tracmax tyres, which are very poor, but the Evergreen EA721 are much better and I trust them completely, even in the mountains. Experience over 1,000 km.
