Brand presentation Bridgestone

The tyre manufacturer Bridgestone dedicates special care to its rnage of motorcycle tyres. Bridgestone has made motorcycle tyres since the 1960's Today 30% of the new motorcycles supplied on the french market are fitted with Bridgestone tyres as original equipment

The Japanese manufacturer is now focusing all its efforts to improve the quality and performance of its tyres for better customer satisfaction. The latest tyre that took on this challenge is the Battlax T30.

The Japanese manufacturer hired 100 motorbike drivers to test it. The goal is to try the new tyre in real life conditions in order to ensure regular bike drivers have optimal quality tyres.

Technology from Bridgestone

ULTIMAT EYE™
ULTIMAT EYE™

Exclusive Bridgestone technology for the development of tires that can measure and visualize the behavior of the tire contact surface under real driving conditions. Previously, tire development involved conducting simulations, building prototypes, and using laboratory measurements as well as real vehicle tests to verify performance. ULTIMAT EYE™ reproduces in the laboratory high-speed driving conditions equivalent to those of a real vehicle, allowing the visualization of the tire contact surface behavior. In addition to previous real vehicle tests, this allows for high-precision analysis and performance verification on a solid scientific basis. Using technology designed to develop tires for the most demanding car and motorcycle races in the world, the measurement and analysis equipment can withstand speeds of up to 400 km/h and tilt angles of up to 60 degrees.

MS-BELT (Less heat build-up and more stability)
MS-BELT (Less heat build-up and more stability)

All Battlax rear tires benefit from a monospiral belt construction. This is a single continuous aramid band wound around the entire circumference of the tire. The uniqueness of the band eliminates overlap of layers, welds or joints and brings an unknown lightness to the standard cross-belt design. The monospiral belt drastically reduces any heating that occurs during the rotation of the tire. The result is increased stability and improved shock absorption efficiency.

DBC (Enhanced Maneuverability)
DBC (Enhanced Maneuverability)

The rear Battlax BT-012SS tires follow a revolutionary design featuring a double belt. The single-spiral belt is complemented by a belt at each shoulder. This design ensures excellent grip in curves, combined with unparalleled handling and shock absorption. In addition, the central part of the tread is left free, making straight-line driving more stable.

5LC (Maximum cornering traction)
5LC (Maximum cornering traction)

Born from the fertile minds of Bridgestone's MotoGP engineers, the 5LC technology for rear tires stands out by combining 5 layers of 3 different rubber compounds. : The center of the tread favors stability and lifespan thanks to a hard compound, the shoulders offer incredible traction thanks to a medium rubber and finally the outer part allows extreme grip in curves thanks to a high grip compound. In the end, an innovative technology at the service of a breathtaking experience!

3LC (Stability and grip in turns)
3LC (Stability and grip in turns)

Bridgestone innovates on the 3LC rubber compound technology in 3 layers. Two layers of hard compound occupy the center of the tread, ensuring excellent braking stability and the assurance of achieving significant mileage. A layer of soft compound equips the shoulders, in order to generate perfect grip in curves for any angle of attack.

3D CTDM (Optimized Design)
3D CTDM (Optimized Design)

Tire design at Bridgestone now goes through the automated 3D CTDM technology. This innovative program involves 3D dynamic simulations and takes into account all the performance values of the tire. Thus, the patterns of the front tires are designed to optimize stability at high speed while reducing vibrations to a minimum. As for the patterns of the rear tires, higher negative ratios ensure them the appropriate grip and the required stability in curves. The 3D CTDM technology designs tire profiles offering maximum efficiency and greater lightness in tight turns. To maintain a smooth ride regardless of the attack angles, a uniform contact pressure is sought while maximum grip is guaranteed by optimal lateral stiffness.

SILICA RICH EX (Optimal grip for your front tire)
SILICA RICH EX (Optimal grip for your front tire)

The Silica Rich EX rubber compound contains more silica, which gives the front tires improved performance in wet conditions. Combined with RC Polymer technology, the effects of silica are multiplied and the tire's longevity is enhanced.

3LC + Cap and Base
3LC + Cap and Base

The 3LC technology enhances the tire's grip capacity on the shoulder side and extends the tread life. Moreover, the underlying Cap & Base layer makes it more rigid, which helps to increase its grip as well as its ability to absorb shocks and offers overall excellent performance regardless of the conditions.

SACT + CAP&BASE (Reliable in all weather conditions)
SACT + CAP&BASE (Reliable in all weather conditions)

The SACT technology allows the central part of the tread to cover more distance before wear and to present much more adherent shoulders. It is associated with the underlying Cap & Base layer, which develops an improved rigidity of the tread, providing remarkable performance in terms of grip and shock absorption regardless of the weather.

HTSPC (Handling in All Conditions)
HTSPC (Handling in All Conditions)

Bridgestone is today the only manufacturer to use HTSPC technology combining five steel monofilaments forming a single-spiral belt. A layer of rubber ensures the insulation of the filaments guaranteeing a uniform and linear tension inducing maximum rigidity. Whether the road is dry or wet, tires adopting HTSPC technology benefit from better grip and improved handling due to the uniformity of contact pressure. The monofilaments are protected from any oxidation and minimize heat build-up, allowing for more regular tread wear and an increase in the number of miles traveled.

OBF (Smooth High-Speed Driving)
OBF (Smooth High-Speed Driving)

Bridgestone's new OBF technology provides maximum rigidity that optimizes damping and high-speed stability. It applies equally well to both sport and touring driving. The patent approval for Bridgestone's OBF technology is currently underway.

SILICA RICH (Better grip on wet ground and cold weather)
SILICA RICH (Better grip on wet ground and cold weather)

The Bridgestone mix with increased silica percentage provides the rear axle with enhanced grip on wet roads, for flawless handling.

RC POLYMER (Enhanced road contact)
RC POLYMER (Enhanced road contact)

The RC Polymer technology allows the rubber compound to benefit from a uniform distribution of silica. The tire's tread gains in flexibility, which results in an increased contact surface with the ground, regardless of temperatures. RC Polymer introduces a reduction in friction between the compound's molecules, which consequently reduces rolling resistance and therefore consumption.

GP-BELT
GP-BELT

An additional belt compared to the Mono-spiral MS-BELT helps to even out the pressure across the entire contact surface with the ground. Result: more grip in curves and more driving control.

CAP&BASE (Optimal grip throughout the tire's lifespan)
CAP&BASE (Optimal grip throughout the tire's lifespan)

The Cap&Base technology combines a soft compound on top for unparalleled grip with a stiffer inner compound ensuring optimal tire rigidity. Even when the tread wears down, the inner compound does not rub the road, so no loss of grip is possible.

SACT (Higher Mileage)
SACT (Higher Mileage)

Bridgestone's SACT technology offers a combination of two different rubber compounds in a design that guarantees increased wear resistance (under normal straight-line driving conditions) as well as unrivalled shoulder grip in curves. This is the tire that sports driving enthusiasts have been waiting for! With wear resulting from your driving, shoulders guaranteeing ideal traction and a central tread band pushing mileage further, it's hard to find better in terms of value for money!
