The Mutant tyres are superb on the road! They warm up quickly and immediately stick to the tarmac! The motorbike is very manageable and holds its line, changes direction easily and is precise! It’s the same at 5 km/h as it is at 150 km/h! I previously rode on Mitas tyres and Michelin Road 5; both were less precise in corners than the Mutant tyres! On gravel roads they aren’t as good as I expected, but they handle 60 km/h without any problems! The best tyre so far for the road and gravel!
The tyre arrived quickly. It’s the same tyre model as the front one and it looks good… I don’t have any riding experience with it yet. On my previous Kawa ZZR1100 I had an older Sportmax model; it worked well, especially in the rain.
It remains an excellent tyre, the RoadSmart 3, which behaves well on the road. I’ve had it for many years now and I’m still satisfied. I’ve now bought a new tyre, a RoadSmart 4 for the first time. The price difference is very small. I’m going to Scotland in June and perhaps this one will need to be fitted by then. I can recommend a RoadSmart to everyone.

A very quiet and comfortable tyre with good grip and high mileage.
Impeccable road holding, even in the wet; off-road they do their job! Grass, especially when damp, should be avoided, but I think that’s obvious. Mud… well: with a 230 kg bike I avoid it if I can and, in any case, I take it slow! Front tyre still OK after 5,000 km, the rear one needs changing soon.
