INFO AREA

The Info area on the sidewall of a Nokian tire enhances safety by displaying location and pressure indicators. Thus, one can mark the location during mounting during tire changes as well as the correct inflation pressure. New information can even be recorded in this area, which is the torque of the bolts on alloy rims. The majority of UHP sports tires are mounted on aluminum rims for which the tightening of the bolts requires increased attention. This is enhanced safety for the user as the bolts must be tightened to the correct torque and they must be retightened every 100 or 200 kilometers.

VENTURI GROOVES

The flow of water is made faster by the grooves separating the shoulder blocks, particularly where they narrow, which greatly improves the efficiency of draining water trapped between the tire and the road.

WEAR AND AQUAPLANING INDICATOR

The tire features a wear indicator (DSI) that allows you to know the residual depth of its grooves. This indicator consists of a series of numbers in millimeters inscribed on the tread. The more the tread wears over the kilometers, the more these numbers fade. The tire has a second indicator, which informs about the risks of aquaplaning. A drop is placed on the central block 4 mm from the bottom of the grooves. When this drop is erased by the wear of the rubber, then it is time to proceed with the tire change because the risk of aquaplaning is high.

SMOOTHED MAIN GROOVES

The major grooves of the tire are smoothed, which gives it, in addition to its elegance, a great capacity to efficiently evacuate the water present on the road. The grooves of the ribs leading to these main sliding grooves increase the overall volume of the tire's grooves and help to counteract the possibility of aquaplaning.

PURIFIED OILS

At Nokian Tyres, every tire uses only purified oils and the manufacturing process does not incorporate any toxic or carcinogenic chemical products at any point. A leader in ecological terms among tire manufacturers, Nokian is a pioneer in the use of low aromatic content purified oil. Nevertheless, its performance in terms of safety and particularly tire grip on wet surfaces is excellent regardless of the season.

- Road - Economical - 10000 km

For a price of 300€ or even for 240€, they are worth that money, I had iLine and the tires are soft so they hold the road very well, and if it rains, then especially praise! They have diagonal lines so they are quiet, and I think they are quite economical! I think the only weakness would be poor grip on ice and especially on snow! This is because of the diagonal lines, and that's why they grip less on snow and ice :-( But you don't have to fear rain and aquaplaning, because they have deep diagonal lines, so I think they are made for Dalmatia and other places along the sea where there is never snow, only strong rain !!
