Hankook Smart Line DL50
The Hankook Smart Line DL50 tyre model incorporates several innovations for the drive axle. Compared to its predecessor, the DL20w, rolling resistance is reduced by 15%, while wet grip is improved by 10%.
- The tread patterns, such as 3D printed sipes, hidden grooves, and self-regenerating sipes, allow for a cooler tread, thus improving wet grip and traction, resulting in better longevity and reduced rolling resistance.
- Wider tread blocks ensure solid contact with the road, increasing tread rigidity and thus reducing heat.
- New tread features emerge as the tyre wears, maintaining a cool tread, optimal wet grip, and traction, thereby maximising longevity and grip while minimising rolling resistance.
An important feature of the SmartLine family is its advanced compound technology. A dual carbon-silica loading system improves the homogeneity of the rubber mix, increasing energy efficiency. Additionally, the tyre generates much less heat thanks to Hankook's innovative mixing system (IMS) and the rigidity of the tread blocks due to interconnected 3D sipes.
The Stiffness Control Contour Technology (SCCT) ensures uniform tread deformation, counteracting uneven wear through targeted load distribution.
